The Blue Flag is an exclusive eco-label awarded to more than 2900 beaches and marinas in 24 countries across Europe and South Africa in 2004 and is owned and run by the independent non-profit organisation Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). The Blue Flag for beaches is awarded annually and is only valid for one year. To be eligible for the Blue Flag a bathing beach has to fulfil all requirements

The Blue Flag works towards sustainable development at beaches/marinas through strict criteria dealing with water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management, and safety and other services.

The town centre in Bournemouth is one of the major attractions in Dorset a busy bustling cosmopolitan town that features entertainment, conferences, entertainment venues, nightlife and restaurants.

The Bournemouth Eye

One of the hotpots is the Bournemouth Eye that takes you up to 500ft above Bournemouth where you can experience the thrill of intense panoramic views over the British channel and surrounding area for up to 20 miles. The giant m balloon takes flight from Bournemouth Gardens.

Children and adults will enjoy the breath-taking sights by day or by night with illuminated night flights – creating a unique romantic atmosphere.
