Dorset Business Women Awards 2013
Following a record of over 1000 nominations received for 2013, the distinguished Langtry Manor Venus Awards has announced the semi finalists for its 11 sponsor judged categories; the top three of each will be invited to the grand award ceremony held at the Pavilion Ballroom in Bournemouth on 5th June 2013.
Tara Howard, Managing Director of the Langtry Manor Hotel, started the Dorset Langtry Manor Business Women Awards in 2009. Explaining her reasons for doing so, she said "Being a mother of four at the same time as a running a successful, I know only too well the pressures that women in business can be under. We often undervalue ourselves and our achievements. I wanted to create a system where women can be recognized for their achievements through nominations from their colleagues, friends and family. Thereby not having to make the first step themselves! It inspires me to experience the excitement, pride and sense of achievement of the women as they make it through the various stages of the awards."
